Decorating your home in La Habra, California, for the holidays is one of the great joys of the season, but it’s important to do so safely. According to the American Red Cross, fires caused by candles are four times as likely to occur during the winter holidays, so it’s important to make sure you never leave a burning candle unattended. One safe alternative is to use battery-powered candles that can achieve the same effect.
Additionally, Christmas trees can pose threats in terms of both fires and damage if they fall. If you have a real pine tree, be sure to keep it properly watered to prevent it from drying out, and make sure your tree is safely positioned to prevent it from falling on pets or children. This holiday season is shaping up to be a memorable one. With plenty of holiday activities, performances, shopping, and volunteer opportunities to choose from, you’re set for a joyous and safe time.
